Reaching the World

In July 2012, First Baptist Frisco has the opportunity, once again, to travel to Honduras on a mission trip with North Texas Missions (http://www.ntxmissions.org/).  With the help of friends and family, last year’s mission trip was covered in full by your charitable donations.  It was an incredible experience, but one that was not to be done once, and checked off the bucket list.

I no longer want to make excuses on why I shouldn’t be going on these trips.

“We are settling for a Christianity that revolves around catering to ourselves when the central message of Christianity is actually about abandoning ourselves.” — David Platt (Radical: Taking Back Your Faith from the American Dream)

It is easy to come up with reasons I shouldn’t go.

This year, I’ve made a resolution to continue to go outside of my comfort zone. I’ve decided to not just sit on the sidelines.  Do I have the money to afford the mission trip? No. Will I? That is unknown, but I am putting my trust in God for the answer.

I want to provide you with the amazing opportunity to go on mission with me with a tax-deductible donation that directly sponsors my journey to Honduras. The goal of this trip is to provide medical care for those that might not otherwise receive such attention in Honduras.  While the medical attention may be catering to the physical needs of those that come, we all know that there is a much greater need for these individuals.  To be loved.

“The price is certainly high for people who don’t know Christ and who live in a world where Christians shrink back from self-denying faith and settle into self-indulging faith. While Christians choose to spend their lives fulfilling the American dream instead of giving their lives to proclaiming the kingdom of God, literally billions in need of the Gospel remain in the dark” — David Platt

In my eyes, this is a near impossible task if I were doing it alone. I need raise $1475.00 in order to participate on this trip.  I can’t do this without God’s provision!  And while this is a monumental task in my eyes, in God’s eyes, nothing is impossible.

How can you help?

  • Pray for my trust to move away from my own self and to open up fully to God’s plan for me.
  • Tax-deductible donation to sponsor my trip (Any amount!)
    • Check -  please make your check payable to North Texas Missions, Inc. and mail it along with a note indicating “Aaron Corcoran” (please don’t write my name on the bottom of your check as it will no longer be tax deductible for you).

      Send Donations To:
      North Texas Missions, Inc.
      P.O. Box 424
      Frisco, Texas 75034

    • Online – visit www.ntxmissions.org and click the PayPal logo.  (To ensure proper credit, in the Support Missionary section, select “On Behalf of” and enter my name)
  • Forward this letter to anyone who may be interested.

Walk alongside me as I help North Texas Missions accomplish God’s will by looking after the physical needs of those in Honduras. Please feel free to contact me directly with any questions!  I no longer want to just be a reader of the word, but a doer of the word; to lead my family by example and not by head knowledge.

“Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.” Isaiah 6:8
